Founding Account Executive
London, Moorgate | Full-time | Hybrid

About DayJob
DayJob builds AI agents for short-haul trucking - a $45bn market still run on spreadsheets, phone calls and software from the 1990s.
We've just completed Y Combinator, are scaling towards $1M ARR, growing ~20% month-on-month, and launching in the US. Our customers include some of the largest waste and recycling operators in the UK and US, and we're backed by leading investors including Paul Graham (Founder of Y Combinator) and Harry Stebbings (Founder of 20VC).
We're looking for our first dedicated sales hire to expand our UK customer base and accelerate our next stage of growth.
The opportunity
This isn't a typical Account Executive role.
You'll work directly with the founders and Head of Sales to generate pipeline, win new customers and help refine how we sell as we scale. You'll own the customer journey from first outreach through to successful implementation, ensuring customers realise value from day one.
Whether you're an ambitious Account Executive ready to step up or a more experienced seller looking to build something from an earlier stage, we're open-minded. For the right person, we'll shape the role around your experience and strengths.
Join early enough to make a genuine impact while working alongside founders with real traction, customers and backing. As the company grows, so will the role.
What you'll be doing
Generate your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking and referrals.
Own the full sales cycle from first outreach through to close.
Build relationships with operational leaders and understand how their businesses work.
Visit customer sites to win new business and support successful onboarding.
Help refine our sales messaging, qualification process and playbook.
Work closely with Product and Engineering to ensure customer insight shapes what we build.
What we're looking for
Experience selling B2B software.
Comfortable creating your own pipeline through outbound activity.
Enjoy opening doors as much as closing deals.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
High ownership and a bias for action.
Excited by AI and early-stage technology.
Experience selling into logistics, transport, waste or other operational industries would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
What we offer
Competitive salary + strong OTE.
Meaningful equity.
4 days from our Moorgate office
Occasional travel to customer sites across the UK.
25 days' holiday, plus bank holidays and your birthday off.
Learning & development budget.
