  • Track, monitor, order, and replenish inventory levels of all necessary supplies (pool, safety, cleaning, office)
  • Deliver a Great Client Experience:
  • Be present and approachable on deck; answering questions, addressing complaints, chatting with parents, and resolving concerns with empathy and professionalism
  • Foster positive relationships with swimmers and parents to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere
  • Help families feel confident about their swim journey and drive client registration through facility tours, assessments, and program recommendations
  • Monitor feedback and reviews to continuously improve the experience
  • Support front desk operations with inquiries, billing follow-up, and registration; not just assisting but helping drive conversions
  • Manage Programs & Sessions:

  • Ensure all programs meet DSH’s quality and safety standards, feel fun, organized, and family-friendly

  • Assign instructors to classes, support smooth deck setup/takedown, and ensure session readiness (progress reports, deck sheets)
  • Support teaching and instructional leadership on deck or in-water, including leading or assisting with class demos, daytime teaching, and specific enrollment parameters
  • Organize and deliver regular training sessions for staff members to enhance their skills, knowledge and certifications
  • Manage all staff schedules and proactively solve any scheduling challenges
  • Manage adherence to Lifesaving Society standards in leadership course, and schedule all leadership courses
  • Support & Grow Our Team:
  • Lead, mentor, and train a team of Deck Leads, Head Instructors, Instructors, and SCT’s
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive team culture by being the go-to person, offering guidance, mentorship, and ongoing training
  • Create space for feedback and growth by conducting and tracking ongoing performance evaluations and performance improvement plans
  • Recognize and celebrate your team; Mid-session treats, end-of-session pizzas, and little gestures that go a long way
  • Anticipate hiring needs and support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff
  • Ensure smooth team processes like payroll submissions, onboarding, and offboarding
  • Communicate openly and regularly with the team through staff meetings and sharing updates

  • Keep the facility clean, safe, functional, and ready for fun; from pool equipment and maintenance to birthday walls and themed decorations
  • Confirm everything runs smoothly behind the scenes; from logbooks to session transitions and supply orders
  • Ensure safety protocols meet pool/health regulations and equipment is stocked, maintained, and up to standard
  • Oversee daily maintenance tasks, safety equipment checks, and facility inspections and coordinate with external vendors for repairs, pest control, and mechanical needs
  • Ensure proper record keeping of all logbooks, cleaning checklists, and supply orders
  • Be accountable for managing emergencies by ensuring the emergency response plan is aligned with industry best practices, conducting safety checks and drills, and staying up to date on certifications, regulations, and best practices in aquatic safety
