The technician performs mechanical inspections and quality testing on incoming materials, including electrical and data cables. They are responsible for documenting findings, managing first-article archives, and reporting non-conforming materials to senior staff.
Requirements
Candidates must have at least one year of quality control experience and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings. Proficiency with measurement tools, MS Office, and the physical ability to lift 35 pounds are required.
The Incoming Inspection Technician assists in the receipt & initial quality inspection of PacStar inventory. You will work with the Incoming Materials Inspection team to ensure the highest quality of incoming inventory.

Your Challenge:
Perform mechanical inspection for defects
Works within established inspection criteria and sample plan for incoming materials
Testing of electrical and data cables
Document and maintain first article archive
Work within established inspection criteria and sample plan for incoming materials
Inspection and evaluation of first-articles
Record non-conforming materials
Report inspection findings and vendor source information to senior members of the Incoming Materials Inspection team
Present quality status to senior members of the Incoming Materials Inspection team
Participate in the MRB Program
Know, practice, and be an advocate of all site safety rules and regulations
Performance requires physical attendance
Performance requires extended hours and occasional weekend work.

What You Bring:
1+ years Quality Control experience, required
Demonstrated ability to meet and maintain high quality standards for incoming materials
Experience with relevant ISO, Six Sigma and MIL standards for quality control is a plus
Experience with simple mechanical inspection is required
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings is required
Experience with measurement and inspection tools is required
Proficient with MS Office
Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds at least 40 feet
Ability to multi-task and manage various project related duties
Strong work ethic
Ability to type a minimum of 25 to 30 WPM
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
Must be able to self-organize workloads and manage all deadlines
