Veterinary Customer Service Representative Job Description Leesport Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, understanding, and professional team member to assist us with providing exceptional customer service for our clients. CSRs are the first point of contact for our clients and must be compassionate, articulate, and able to handle high-pressure situations with grace and efficiency. Applicants must have strong communication skills accompanied by a calm presence especially when juggling multiple tasks or supporting clients and staff during emotional moments.
Requirements/Duties will include but may not be limited to: • Greetings, checking in, and checking out clients • Provide compassionate care to all patients • Required to know policies, procedures, and clinical processes • Answer phones calls, emails, texts, and process any messages • Book, confirm, and manage appointments, surgeries, and procedures • Taking food and prescription requests • Handling cash drawer/preparing end of day financial reports • Troubleshooting client communication issues • Processing patient records, lab work, and specialist reports • Maintaining accurate client records and updating information as needed • Good communication to be able to relay messages between clients, veterinarians, and other staff members • Multitasking, the ability to manage various tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment • Maintain a clean, neat reception area and front desk Benefits: • Employee discounts (applied after 90 days of employment) • Opportunities for growth and advancement within the clinic. • Referral program • Parental leave • 401(k) • Health insurance • 401(k) matching • Paid time off • Vision insurance • Health savings account • Dental insurance • Flexible spending account • Life insurance Skills and Abilities: • Excellent oral and written communication • Organized and meticulous • Knowledge of basic veterinary terms and procedures • Knowledge of basic computer skills • Patience and respect for client, patients and colleagues • Ability to deal with stressful situations
