Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Parts Counter Clerk to join our Anchorage team. This role is essential to daily operations, ensuring accurate inventory management and providing excellent service to internal and external customers. The Parts Counter Clerk supports efficient workflow by maintaining organized inventory and assisting with parts identification, requests, and orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service in person, by phone, and via email, assisting with parts identification and orders
  • Process orders, pull parts, and complete invoices accurately
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked parts counter and warehouse area
  • Receive, stock, and organize incoming inventory
  • Ensure inventory is properly tracked, stored, and replenished
  • Support operational efficiency by delivering timely and accurate service
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support business operations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in parts handling, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to operate a forklift and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems
  • Experience in automotive, heavy equipment, industrial supply, or construction industries is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday
  • Ability to work safely in a warehouse and retail parts environment

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Pass a 7-year criminal background check
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with company drug & alcohol program
  • Pass a pre-employment physical (includes lifting, bending, kneeling, and other job-related tasks)

Schedule

Monday – Friday
 Standard business hours with occasional overtime as needed to support operational requirements.
