SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Arbor Manager is responsible for leading and growing arbor operations within an assigned market.
This role oversees sales, production, Plant Health Care (PHC), and team development while ensuring
exceptional safety performance, operational execution, and financial results.
This individual serves as the leader of the arbor business within the branch and is accountable for the
overall success of the division—including client relationships, business development, operational
performance, and the development of high-performing teams. The Arbor Manager will partner closely
with branch and executive leadership to continue building a market-leading arbor operation while
creating opportunities for team members to grow and thrive.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development & Growth
• Develop and execute strategies to grow arbor services within the market. Lead sales efforts,
estimating, and client relationships.
• Build and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline.
• Identify opportunities to expand services with existing and prospective clients.
• Partner with branch leadership on strategic planning and market expansion.
Operations Leadership
• Oversee General Tree Care (GTC) and Plant Health Care (PHC) operations.
• Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are completed safely,
efficiently, and to company standards.
• Monitor department budgets, expenses, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing arbor professionals.
• Lead, mentor, and support arbor team members through coaching and training.
• Support career development and advancement opportunities across the team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Safety & Compliance
• Enforce all Arbor Safety Program standards and expectations.
• Maintain compliance with ANSI Z133 and A300 standards.
• Lead by example in PPE use and safe work practices.
QualificationsWhat We're Looking For
• 5+ years of experience in professional arboriculture, including leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience leading arbor operations, crews, and client relationships.
• Strong understanding of tree care operations, safety standards, production management, and industry
best practices.
• Ability to balance both field operations and business development responsibilities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and enjoys building teams and
processes.
• A servant leader who values accountability, teamwork, and developing others.
Preferred Qualifications
• ISA Certified Arborist (required).
• Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems.
• Experience leading Plant Health Care (PHC) programs and production teams.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
