The consultant will coordinate and manage video and photo production for M2M operations in Indonesia, including planning shoots and editing content. They will also provide script support and facilitate cross-cultural communication between the local team and the German headquarters.
Candidates must hold a university degree and have at least 5 years of professional experience in marketing and creative direction with a strong production portfolio. Fluency in both English and Indonesian is required, along with the ability to travel within Indonesia.
Margins 2 Markets (M2M) is building key components of an effective waste management system in three ecologically valuable coastal regions: Raja Ampat/Sorong (Indonesia), Tamil Nadu (India), and Zanzibar (Tanzania). These regions face similar challenges: remote and growing coastal communities, insufficient waste management infrastructure, limited access to recycling markets, and increasing plastic pollution from tourism and population growth, driving marine litter and threatening biodiversity, fisheries, and local livelihoods.
The project establishes regional collection, pre-processing, and recycling infrastructure, including Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) and pre-processing sites, and connects these to national and international recycling markets. It combines this physical infrastructure with digital traceability systems, incentive schemes for waste collectors, training, occupational health and safety measures, and transparent payment systems. The overarching goal is to prevent approximately 40,000 tonnes of plastic waste from entering coastal and marine ecosystems and to develop a replicable model for other coastal regions.
Clean Hub is looking for a consultant to provide ongoing, as-needed video production and content support for M2M Indonesia operations, in coordination with the CleanHub team in Germany and local Hub partner.
Coordinate and manage video production for M2M content (web, social media) in and around Indonesia project site
Plan and execute shoots at Hub location: Raja Ampat/Sorong
Deliver high-quality footage using own equipment
Edit and produce post-ready video and photo content in close cooperation with the CleanHub Germany team
Provide raw video and photo material on request, for other editors/team members if needed for wider content use
Support script writing for video content, drawing on close familiarity with the Indonesia Hubs and their operations
Conduct and translate Indonesian-language interviews
Prepare key segments and documentation to make Indonesian content accessible to the wider (non-Indonesian-speaking) CleanHub team
Travel to the Hub location in Indonesia as required for production (Raja Ampat/Sorong)

As avid surfers and travellers, Joel and Florin witnessed plastic washing up on beaches in places with no formal waste systems. It was a wake-up call. They committed to finding a scalable, systemic solution — to stop plastic from getting into the ocean in the first place. We chose to focus on plastic recovery, rather than traditional recycling or waterways cleanups, because the problem starts earlier: where no collection system exists. Without an effective waste management system, individuals around the globe are left to either discard in nature or burn waste. This model funds and tracks verified plastic collection from source, providing reliable income for local waste workers and measurable impact for the brands that fund it. Our app documents waste collection with GPS data, photos, and AI-reviewed weights, producing an average of 59 data points per ton. Giving our partners end-to-end verification of waste volumes collected, sorted and processed. Key objectives: -Prevent plastic leakage by building recovery systems in high-risk regions -Provide transparent, third-party verified impact - Enable brands and individuals to take credible, measurable action on plastic pollution - Support the informal waste sector with stable jobs and professionalized operations - Advance circular economy principles through recovery and reuse
