Full job description
Behavior Technician – Not just a job. A calling
We’re looking for a certain kind of person. They kneel down to a child's eye level. They patiently bring the same positivity to the tenth try as the first. They celebrate a kinda tiny win like it's the biggest thing that happened all week…because for that kid, it might be.
We call them teammates who change lives. And we don't need you to have experience to be one. We’ll teach you the skills. But if this sounds like it might be a fit, here's what walking through our door looks like.
Clinical leadership that's actually there You're never on an island. You’ll receive strong clinical mentorship, real career pathways into leadership, and colleagues who treat your expertise like it matters. Because it does.
Paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), with guidance and support from mentors and peers.
A culture that supports you driven by the values of collaboration and shared success, not competition
🌟 What You’ll Do:
You'll work 1:1 with children ages 18 months to 6 years who have a diagnosis of autism, in a center-based environment. Day to day, that means:
Delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), guided by individualized treatment plans
Building skills through play, connection, and the kind of presence that helps a child feel safe enough to try
Tracking progress and documenting sessions using ABA technology
Creating a safe, positive environment for every child you work with
Preparing for your RBT certification exam within your first 45 days
💼 What We Offer:
No RBT? $18.24 - $20.00
Obtained your RBT? Start at $19.19 for RBT 1 with potential to move up to $22.00 with progressions into Advanced ARBT
401(k) with company match
$500 referral bonus
Paid time off, holiday pay, mileage reimbursement
Full health benefits for full-time team members
1:1 client sessions—no group billing or overwhelming caseloads
A career pathway to become a BCBA with our BCBA Rise Scholarship program that provides up to $10,000 in financial support for your Master’s degree
📅 What we’re looking for:
Full-time availability Monday–Friday, between 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
Reliability — showing up for scheduled hours and staying on top of administrative tasks
Resilience and compassion, especially on the tough days
Interest in psychology, education, healthcare, or human services — experience with children is a plus
Ability to obtain RBT certification within 45 days of employment — we'll prepare you
Physical readiness for the role: pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds; sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and moving quickly alongside kids when needed

Caravel Autism Health delivers top quality center-based intensive, post-intensive, pre-intensive, and diagnostic evaluation services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Caravel Autism Health emphasizes individualized goals based on proven, evidence-based treatment approaches - mainly Applied Behavior Analysis. We specialize in the delivery of Verbal Behavior Therapy, Lovaas, and interactive play approaches, matching the best approach (or combination of approaches) to the individual needs and learning style of the child.
Our therapy team is managed by highly skilled, well-trained, and caring senior clinicians. We work one-on-one with children with Autism to first establish a fun, positive, and playful relationship. As children learn to cooperate, imitate, and attend to others, the focus turns to increasing other major skill areas including (but not limited to) language, socialization, play, academic, and self-help skills. Social play with peers and transitions into school environments are introduced and carefully managed as children are ready. Individualized goals are broken down into manageable components based on the child’s learning preference. This way the therapy approach remains positive while children experience success.
Therapeutic effectiveness is continually monitored by measuring progress and assessing the amount of fun the child is having during therapy. The goal of our autism therapy is to have every child learn as many new skills as possible in order to maximize his or her potential. The majority of children look forward to therapy because they have fun and are put in a position where they are successful!
Other common elements of our Autism Spectrum Disorder program includes: Picture Exchange Communication System, sign language, social stories, video modeling, meaningful generalization of skills to natural environments, parent/caregiver training and involvement in the therapy process, community support, school consultation and support.
