The Early Years Apprentice will support the nursery team in providing quality childcare and education for children up to age five. Responsibilities include facilitating interactive play, reading, and learning activities while completing required training and coursework for a formal qualification.
Candidates must be committed to completing an apprenticeship and hold a GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above in English or equivalent Functional Skills. Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential, and the role requires an enhanced DBS check.

We’re looking for an Early Years Apprentice to join our Maythorne Cottages Nursery, situated in Hither Green, London.
Maythorne Cottages is a beautiful nursery located in the heart of Hither Green, we are steps away from Hither green station and have great links to London Bridge, Lewisham and Kent areas.
Our nursery takes children aged 3 months - 3 years and we work in strong partnership with Beacon road nursery which is our pre-school unit. We thrive to provide quality childcare and education consistently with all age groups. The nursery consists of 4 rooms, with 2 great outdoors spaces.
Subject to T&Cs
As an Early Years Apprentice, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – creating learning opportunities that support the children’s learning. With the support of your assessor, you will attend all required training and coursework for completion of your formal qualification. You will reflect and proactively use new ideas and initiatives, including feedback, to enhance development and learning.
