The Service Technician assists nursing staff by maintaining the cleanliness of the operating room and ensuring a safe environment for surgical patients. Responsibilities include room turnover, patient transportation, equipment setup, and assisting with patient positioning and transfers.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in housekeeping, transportation, or a clinical setting. Knowledge of operating room practices and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required.

Summary:
To assist the nursing staff in the care of the surgical patient by performing the duties of cleaning rooms according to documented standards, maintaining the cleanliness of the department, turning over rooms in a timely manner, transportation, positioning, stocking, ordering, obtaining blood products, and any other additional care necessary to promote a safe surgical environment for our patients.
