Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include preparing the OR, managing sterile supplies, and assisting with the collection of cultures and specimens.
Requires a high school diploma or GED with less than 2 years of experience. Completion of an accredited surgical program and Surgical Technician certification are preferred.
Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience.
