Build, repair, and maintain jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies while manufacturing and sharpening cutting tools. Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce parts to precise specifications.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and a vocational certificate in machine shop programs. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience with manual machining equipment and a strong knowledge of cutting tool geometry.
