The Role:
Located off Constellation Drive, Bear Park Mairangi Bay is a warm, welcoming and creative centre licensed for up to 83 children. We are proud of our bi-cultural heritage and strive to create an environment that is challenging, inclusive, supportive and encouraging.
We are looking for a Qualified Teacher to join our team in a full-time position working with our 2–3.5-year-old children. You'll work as part of a team of four teachers, with a maximum of 22 children and a maximum ratio of 1:6. We offer a resource-rich learning environment, wonderful ratios and a supportive, dedicated team.
Our new kaiako will be kind, engaged and bring a growth mindset to their teaching. An aspiration towards leadership would be ideal, as we are committed to continually developing our teachers and creating innovative, passionate leaders.
You will be an effective communicator who prioritises children's needs through responsive, respectful and genuine interactions. Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys building strong relationships with children, whānau and colleagues and is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences.
Our Environment:
At Bear Park Mairangi Bay, the Reggio Emilia philosophy flows throughout our centre, with an abundance of natural resources and thoughtfully designed learning environments that inspire curiosity and exploration.
We also have a generous outdoor environment that provides endless opportunities for child-led learning, exploration and adventurous play. Our riverbed, moveable outdoor climbing equipment, rocking bridge and large sandpits encourage children to take risks, test their ideas and develop a deep appreciation for the richness and possibilities of the natural environment.
