The Head of High School leads the division in academic excellence by coaching teachers through daily classroom observations and feedback. They are also responsible for implementing network regulations, overseeing student assessments, and managing the division-wide ELL program.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree (master's preferred) and at least 7 years of experience in education, including 3+ years of high school leadership. A proven track record in elevating educational outcomes and expertise in college admissions is required.

About BASIS International & Bilingual Schools Chengdu
BASIS International & Bilingual Schools Chengdu opened in 2022 and serves students in Grades Pre-K – 11, with courses eventually being offered through Grade 12 and a capacity of over 1,800 students. This beautiful campus is our first to house both an international and bilingual curriculum in one location. Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan province—home to famous historic sites, cuisine, and culture. Our school is located in a new, high-tech area in the southwest of the city, convenient to the airport and with plenty of green space.
The Head of High School is responsible for leading and developing their division in academic excellence, coaching teachers, and ensuring all goals and network-wide metrics are met. You will spend time daily observing teachers in the classroom, providing feedback and coaching, and ensuring the professional growth and development of all faculty in the division. This includes facilitating opportunities for teachers to exchange information and ideas and ensuring a school climate with high morale and community.

Opening in August 2019, BASIS International School Bangkok (BISB) is a part of the worldwide BASIS Curriculum Schools Network, America’s most successful academic network. BASIS Curriculum Schools provides a course of study that is connected from the student’s academic start in pre-school through to senior projects in the student’s final year. The curriculum is carefully calibrated so that in every discipline and at every grade level, students are appropriately challenged—each year builds as a preparation for challenges to come.
