Job Description:
We are seeking a visionary Creative Supervisor to lead our VFX and Virtual Production teams, driving innovation in storytelling, cinematics, and real-time workflows using Unreal Engine. This role requires a unique blend of artistic leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of the evolving landscape of real-time VFX, virtual production, and immersive content creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor the Previz animation team, ensuring artistic and technical excellence.
Oversee virtual production workflows ensuring seamless integration of real-time rendering.
Collaborate closely with directors, storyboard artists, and VFX teams to translate scripts into compelling previs sequences.
Optimize animation workflows for real-time production, leveraging Unreal’s animation tools (Sequencer, Control Rig, Motion Matching, etc.).
Guide mocap integration and cleanup to enhance performance fidelity.
Ensure cinematography principles (composition, framing, camera movement) align with storytelling needs.
Problem-solve technical issues related to rigging, animation blending, and asset optimization.
Stay at the forefront of real-time technology, evaluating new tools, techniques, and workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
10+ years of industry experience, with a strong focus on previs, cinematics, or real-time workflows.
Expertise in Unreal Engine, especially Sequencer, Control Rig, and animation blueprints.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing animation teams.
Deep understanding of animation principles, motion capture, and cinematic storytelling.
Proficiency in DCC tools (Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Blender, etc.) for asset creation and integration.
Experience with motion capture pipelines and retargeting in Unreal.
Strong problem-solving skills in both artistic and technical aspects of animation.
Bonus:
Knowledge of Python, Blueprint scripting, or experience with virtual production.
Experience with AI-driven tools, AR/VR content creation, or interactive storytelling.
