Lead and supervise the Digital Matte Painting team to create high-quality photorealistic environments and set extensions for film and television. Collaborate with VFX Supervisors and Compositing departments to ensure seamless integration and adherence to creative visions.
Requires over 7 years of VFX industry experience with a strong portfolio of photorealistic environment work. Must possess deep technical knowledge of camera projection and lighting, along with proven leadership experience in supervising artists.
The Digital Matte Painting (DMP) Lead is responsible for leading the matte painting team in creating high-quality digital environments, set extensions, and photorealistic backgrounds for film, television, and streaming productions. This role involves supervising artists, maintaining artistic consistency, and ensuring that matte painting work aligns with the project’s creative vision and production timelines.
The DMP Lead will collaborate closely with VFX Supervisors, Environment teams, and Compositing departments to deliver visually compelling and technically accurate environment shots.
