Hand Forms various materials (steel, titanium and aluminum) to engineering drawing requirements
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Clocks into jobs in the ERP system.
Understands different material types.
Manipulates material with proper tooling.
Uses Form Tooling/Templates to determine shapes of parts.
Uses check fixtures for parts.
Uses Arbor Press.
Reads calipers, micrometers, straight edges, radius gauges and protractors.
Understands what flatness, straightness and angles are and how to form them.
Understands allowed working time for forming.
Knowledge of Tempers and Gauges of materials.
Recognizes Corrosion and Burns after Heat Treat.
Proper handling and containment of parts to be processes.
Understands proper surface preparation.
Responsible for the quality of his/her own work.
Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Keeps work space clean and organized.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy.
Works well with hands and has knowledge of tools
