The Technical Officer will provide practical support for the safe and efficient operation of nuclear materials research laboratories, including equipment maintenance and instrumentation. They will also contribute to research tasks, manage radioactive material inventories, and supervise maintenance staff.
Candidates must possess technical knowledge and experience working in a highly-regulated laboratory environment. Applicants are required to be Australian citizens and must pass a security and pre-employment medical assessment.
The Technical Officer (Radioactive Facilities) will provide practical support to ensure the safe, compliant and efficient operation of nuclear materials research laboratories, including maintenance of equipment, plant and instrumentation. This will include contributing to research tasks and projects, as well as supporting the day-to-day upkeep of the laboratories and associated supporting infrastructure.
