Shift pattern:
Mon–Thu: 07:45–16:45
Fri–Sun: 07:45–15:45
1 in 4 weekends (paid at +15%)
What’s the job?
You’ll be carrying out planned and reactive painting/decorating across the prison. This is a steady, on-site role – no travelling site to site.
You’ll also:
Prep and paint cells, landings, offices and communal areas
Look after your tools and materials
Work safely at all times (H&S is key)
Support and guide prisoners on basic decorating tasks
What you need
NVQ Level 2 Painting & Decorating is an essential minimum qualification
Solid background in painting/decorating work
Comfortable working in a prison environment, alongside and supervising work of prisoners
Good understanding of H&S and safe systems of work
