General Summary
As a Civil Project Manager at Alta E&I, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing a variety of civil engineering projects from conception to completion. This position is designed for a motivated engineer ready to take a meaningful step in their career — working across site development, grading and drainage, utilities, and roadway disciplines. You will be responsible for ensuring successful project execution, meeting client expectations, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
Oversee the execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Monitor project progress and proactively address any issues that may arise.
Act as a point of contact for clients, fostering positive relationships and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide regular project updates and address client needs and expectations as they evolve.
Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary project team, including engineers, designers, and support staff.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
Identify and assess potential risks and challenges associated with projects.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Monitor project budgets and financial performance.
Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Evaluate and propose cost-effective solutions.
Uphold high-quality standards in project deliverables.
Conduct regular quality checks and inspections.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of project management experience in civil or related engineering.
Experience in site development, grading and drainage, utilities, or roadway design; background in utilities is a plus.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and project management tools.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices.
