The bench fitter will perform fabrication tasks, interpret blueprints, and troubleshoot complex piping issues within the oil and gas industry. They are responsible for producing high-quality welds while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Candidates must hold a Journeyman Pipefitter or Welder certification and possess at least 2 years of experience in bench fitting. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and knowledge of safety procedures are essential requirements for the role.

Who You Are:
We’re looking for Journeyman B-Pressure Welders to join our Fabrication department in SE Calgary (not transit accessible). Positions are available for both Weekday and Weekend Shifts.
The ideal candidate is a certified Journeyman with proven experience in pressure pipe welding, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
You take pride in producing high-quality welds, interpreting blueprints accurately, and maintaining a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

We have the capacity to fabricate over 2,500 diameter inches per day of carbon pipe, 500 diameter inches per day of stainless steel pipe and 20,000 kg per day of structural steel. Alstar has a well-developed project services team with project controls, project management and estimating to support your project from start to finish.
