Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Point Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post. You will deliver outstanding customer service, support site operations through clear communication, and bring our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values to every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and document access activity in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help support security-related operations and identify concerns for follow-up.
• Prepare clear reports on incidents, access exceptions, and/or daily activities, and assist with enforcing site rules, restricted area requirements, and traffic control procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Applicants must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
