Responsibilities:

Support the design and implementation of APMC's summer student program, including researching best practices and developing program resources and processes.
Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, interview coordination, candidate communication, and onboarding.
Prepare recruitment, onboarding, and orientation materials to support a positive employee experience.
Document and maintain HR processes, procedures, and standard operating guides.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the employee handbook and other HR resources.
Prepare HR communications, reports, presentations, and training materials.
Maintain HR records and documentation while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Provide administrative support across all areas of Human Resources, including payroll, benefits, recruitment, policy development, and employee programs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or related degree or diploma program.
Eligible to participate in a recognized co-op or work-integrated learning program through an accredited post-secondary institution.
Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple deliverables within a short time frame.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g.: Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and customer-focused approach.
Strong communication, both written and oral, with effective interpersonal skills
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
