About the Role
The Supply Chain Associate I is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, and storing incoming raw materials, production supplies, and consumables. This position plays an important role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production schedules, and ensuring materials are available when needed.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse or receiving experience who wants to build a long-term career in supply chain operations. Employees who demonstrate strong performance have the opportunity to advance into Supply Chain Associate II and III positions.
What You’ll Do
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of raw materials and supplies.
Safely unload and load trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
Process receiving transactions accurately in the Oracle ERP system.
Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
Maintain accurate receiving documentation and inventory records.
Perform weekly inventory cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
Store materials using FIFO inventory practices.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area following 5S standards.
Work closely with Purchasing, Production, Planning, Shipping, and Warehouse teams.
Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory control, or material handling experience preferred.
Manufacturing experience is a plus.
Previous sit-down forklift experience is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain company forklift certification.
Experience using Oracle or another ERP system is preferred.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, dependable, and committed to workplace safety.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Ability to occasionally work outdoors while loading and unloading deliveries.
