The Driver is responsible for the safe and punctual transportation of home health aides from pickup locations to client homes. This includes monitoring traffic, following passenger manifests, and performing vehicle safety inspections.
Candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record and knowledge of Long Island roadways. Completion of a Defensive Driving Course and MVR check is required.

Reports To: Logistics Coordinator
Supervises: Account Manager, Waiver Programs
The Driver is responsible for the safe, reliable, and on-time transportation of home health aides between central pickup locations and client homes across assigned routes. This role is essential to ensuring uninterrupted patient care by getting the right aides to the right locations on schedule every day. The Driver operates with professionalism, accountability, and a strong commitment to safety, serving as a key link in ACH's care delivery chain.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:
The Driver operates primarily in a vehicle-based environment, spending the majority of working hours on the road across assigned Long Island routes, primarily Suffolk County and the Hamptons. This role involves early morning start times, varied weather and traffic conditions, and a schedule that is directly tied to patient care needs. The position requires physical readiness to operate a vehicle safely for extended periods and the flexibility to respond to real-time changes in routing or scheduling.
