Due to a number of recent business wins and existing client demand, we are looking to bolster our growing team with an
Editorial Director.
This is a senior leadership position in the editorial team. You'll set the editorial tone, vision and direction for one of the most exciting names in motorsport. You'll lead the team to deliver content that fuels F1 fandoms. You'll shape how our clients show up in culture. Reporting to the Head of Editorial, you'll have ultimate responsibility for the content quality and performance of your accounts, the development of your team, and the strength of the client relationships. We are looking for someone who has the long-term view of where the future of F1 culture is going and can also think at the speed of a race weekend. Someone who stays close to the comments to understand what fans actually want, and can use this to inform and influence client CMOs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Set the editorial vision and strategy for our key motorsport clients. Your judgment shapes how these brands show up in social.
- Produce Sports Entertainment content. Content that feeds fandoms and shapes sports culture.
- Own all content plans and editorial direction. You're responsible for the consistency, creative excellence, and community impact.
- Lead live social activation and content capture across race weekends. Set up the right teams. Make real-time calls. Turn big moments into content people remember.
- Use performance data to iterate work and to lead editorial decisions
- Take ownership of editorial responses to new business pitches. Help grow existing clients and win new ones.
- Line manage your team. Push them to do career-best work. Mentor them. Develop them. Create an environment they're excited to work in.
- Lead at the highest level. Present to CMOs and global brand directors. You're the one who has the answers in the room.
- Build stronger relationships with platform teams. Get early access to features. Keep 50 Sport in preferred partner status.
- Create all external and internal editorial output. Client presentations, creative briefs, insights reports, QBRs. Your standards set the bar.
- Collaborate with Strategy and Client Services. Spot upsell opportunities. Understand what the business needs and deliver it.
- Push the team to think bigger. Regular prompts for improvement. New ideas. Challenges to the status quo.
ABOUT YOU
This role is for people who have done the work and who understand what it takes to lead at agency level. Someone who gets motorsport, F1 fandoms - both new and emerging and who knows how to get the best out of a team.

- You have significant agency or similar experience. You've been at a senior level. You know how to work with clients and lead teams.

- You master the content process from concept to publication to community engagement. You know what works and why. You can spot a good idea and know how to execute it.

HOW WE WORK
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), but given the nature of what we do, those hours might not follow the typical 9-5. Your working pattern may vary from week to week, and include some out of hours and weekend commitments.
