The Senior Account Manager, APAC will be the first dedicated client services presence in the region, owning day-to-day account management and project coordination for APAC clients. This is a builder's role: you will establish the processes, reporting rhythms, and delivery standards for a growing regional portfolio rather than inherit them. 

The ideal candidate is a sharp, service-oriented account manager with strong project management instincts — someone who keeps clients delighted, keeps teams coordinated, and keeps scope disciplined. You will work closely with US-based Client Services leadership and regional business development, and be positioned to grow with the portfolio as new accounts come online.

Responsibilities:

Account Management & Client Partnership

• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for APAC client accounts, ensuring client satisfaction through fast, proactive, positive communication.
• Learn each client's business objectives, challenges, and success metrics; steer work toward outcomes, not just deliverables.
• Practice scope management: manage client expectations, flag out-of-scope requests early, and protect engagement margins while preserving the relationship.
• Act as the client's advocate internally and 1021's trusted advisor externally.

Project Management & Delivery Oversight

• Run consistent project processes across accounts: status reports, meeting notes, timelines, task ownership, and milestone tracking so any stakeholder can see where things stand.
• Coordinate specialist team members so they can focus on their expertise while you manage the account.
• Ensure deliverables meet 1021 brand and quality standards, maintaining consistency of look and feel with global templates.
• Manage risk, ambiguity, and change proactively, raised as decisions to make, not discovered as problems.

New Business Support & Onboarding

• Join business development conversations as opportunities near close, so the transition from sale to delivery is seamless.
• Lead client onboarding for new APAC engagements, standing up processes and communication rhythms from day one.
• Support proposals and scoping with realistic delivery inputs.

Regional Process Building

• Establish and document repeatable account management and PM processes for the APAC portfolio, bringing fresh thinking to our workflows.
• Replicate and localize 1021's global deliverable standards across APAC markets.
• Provide the connective tissue between APAC delivery and US-based Client Services leadership across time zones.

Required Experience:

• Experience: 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in agency account management, client services, or account-side project management.
• Client Services Orientation: A natural service instinct: responsive, positive, anticipates what's next, and builds client trust quickly.
• Scope Management: Demonstrated ability to manage scope with clients diplomatically, drawing clear lines in a friendly, client-service way.
• Project Management Skills: Strong working command of PM fundamentals: scheduling, status reporting, meeting documentation, budget/scope tracking, and cross-functional coordination.
• Versatility: Comfortable flexing across account management, project management, and hands-on delivery support; production or content background a plus.
• Independence: Able to operate autonomously across time zones with US-based leadership, managing accounts end-to-end with limited oversight.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to keep global stakeholders aligned.
• Tech & AI Interest: A genuine interest in technology and how AI can be integrated into workflows to enhance our services and client solutions.
• Experience working with global clients and cross-border delivery teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with digital platforms, cultural/trend intelligence, or social/organic content work.
• Progression from hands-on delivery roles into account or project leadership.
• Familiarity with the Mumbai/India media and creative agency landscape.
• Experience with PM software such as Monday.com or Asana
