Alex is the Head of Engineering at Thoughtly, a voice AI platform that helps businesses use and deploy human-like AI agents. Alex manages all engineering teams across Application Development, Conversational AI, and Platform Infrastructure. Before Thoughtly, Alex was co-founder and CTO of nudgem, an AI powered retail platform that gives retailers custom storefronts. These storefronts are optimized for mobile browsing and shopping, increasing conversions rates by 2X and AOV by 34%. Prior to nudgem, Alex was an Engineering Manager at Bluecore, a late stage unicorn startup that uses AI to power retail marketing orchestration and automation. He managed the Campaign Orchestrations team. Over 800 retailers including Nike, Sephora, and NoBull used Bluecore's campaign management tools to send billions of emails and SMS messages. Prior to Bluecore, Alex was a Lead Engineer at IBM Watson, and owned products built for large healthcare payers, providers, insurance companies, clearing houses, banks, and government agencies.
