Ensured reliability and accuracy of six new data pipelines meant to inform a new version of Slack’s cornerstone depth-of-usage metric by profiling usage data of ~25M active users. Drove internal operationalization of said metric by creating a dashboard (SQL) that tracked the high-level score and the 36 new data-points supporting it. Dashboard stayed in the top 15 out of 1000+ dashboards most-used across Slack (WAU, MAU) for more than 5 weeks post-launch. Saw more than 380 users in first month alone. Collaborated with 5 teams (Business Strategy, Data Science, Renewals, Quant Research, Customer Success) to design an analysis that would explore how the updated depth-of-usage metric could be used to minimize churn & drive expansion. Presented insights on churn mitigation and ACV drivers to 60+ directors and managers across the Customer Success org. To generate insights, used SQL to pull & clean data from 7 sources of truth and R to conduct 350+ correlation analyses. Enabled Customer Success Managers to proactively track at-risk customers by designing a new algorithm (SQL) that flags early indicators of risk from changes in maturity 3-6 months before renewal.
