I love solving challenges. I thrive when I have a difficult challenge in front of me. When I first started working I worked as a purchasing agent for a local company. Everything was done by hand. You wrote purchase orders by hand. You wrote sales orders by hand. You did inventory by hand. You went to filing When I started working at A-C Electric Company I started as a drafter in the Solar Department. However, it wasn't long before my boss asked me to look at a spreadsheet and see if I could improve it. This started me on my development journey. At first, I was developing tools using VBA making fancier and fancier spreadsheets, then I moved into web development. Once I moved into web development my interests soared. I went from building simple import tools to building full production tracking applications, to a custom form builder that included custom routing and approval. I've built a custom message job queue system using SQL and Hangfire. This allowed us to insert a row in a table and a custom processor will then create pdfs of reports or forms and email them off as attachments. Beyond my current role, I participated in several Hackathons and even won the grand prize in 2018 for a simplified learn to code platform. My team and I developed it a little further using Docker as the runtime environment for code execution and trialed it two public events with great fanfare.
