I’ve spent over a decade diving deep into the world of software engineering, particularly on the backend side where I find my passion lies. My journey has taken me through various startups and small companies where I’ve had the chance to tackle complex challenges head-on. My most recent experience at startups has been challenging, but rewarding. At Trust and Will, I reduced the marketing analytics tool cost by 60% by filtering out test users from Segment MTU. At Curastory, I led a team of 4 engineers and replaced the logging system to save $10K in monthly costs. And at Kasa Living, I spearheaded code architecture improvements, resulting in 50% faster deployment times and a 75% reduction in runtime configuration errors. I also have my passion projects. I founded Funky Goblin Software LLC recently. Here, I engineered a personal productivity application aimed at competing with giants like Notion and ClickUp. Developing a POC has proven to me that thoughtful architecture and a focus on code quality can lead to remarkable efficiency. I wasn't always a software engineer, though. My prior roles include Technical Support Engineer, Quality Engineer, and Software Engineer, and Full-Time Private Music Instructor. The experience I gained from these roles made me more empathetic to other roles in the SDLC, including the end user.
