YogaSix makes yoga/fitness accessible, empowering, and enjoyable for students of all levels. Our studios are locally owned and operated, with the support and resources of the nationally recognized YogaSix brand.

Our ownership group operates three boutique fitness studios in the area, and we work together as one collaborative team. This creates opportunities for our employees to build relationships across locations, develop their skills, and gain valuable experience in the growing fitness and wellness industry.

About the Role

The Studio Manager is a flexible, hands-on leadership role that supports the day-to-day success of the studio. This person will partner closely with the Regional Manager and Format Leads to create an organized, welcoming, and high-performing studio environment.

This role is a great fit for someone who is confident in sales, genuinely interested in the wellness and fitness industry, and excited to help build a strong team and studio community. The schedule is approximately 30 hours per week and offers flexibility based on studio needs, events, and individual availability.

The Studio Manager will oversee the front desk team, support the studio’s sales process, help maintain and merchandise the retail floor, connect with prospective members, and contribute to the overall culture of the studio.

This is also a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in how a boutique fitness business operates. The right person will learn about sales, team leadership, retention, marketing, studio operations, retail, events, and community-building while receiving direct mentorship from regional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Member Experience

  • Oversee the studio’s day-to-day sales process, including lead follow-up, introductory offers, membership sales, and prospective member communication

  • Confidently connect with prospects and help them find the membership or class option that best fits their needs

  • Take classes alongside prospective members when helpful, creating a welcoming and supportive first experience

  • Support membership retention by building relationships with members and helping create a strong sense of community

  • Monitor sales activity and help ensure leads are followed up with consistently

  • Coach and support the front desk team in developing strong, authentic sales and customer-service skills

  • Help grow studio revenue through memberships, packages, retail, events, and teacher-training opportunities

Team Leadership

  • Oversee, support, and help develop the studio’s Wellness Advisor/front desk team

  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and ongoing coaching

  • Partner with the Regional Manager and Format Leads to support the overall studio team

  • Set a positive example by being dependable, communicative, solutions-oriented, and engaged

  • Help create a collaborative studio culture where team members feel supported and accountable

Studio Operations

  • Help oversee the studio’s daily operations and ensure the space remains clean, organized, welcoming, and aligned with YogaSix standards

  • Identify maintenance, inventory, or operational needs and communicate them promptly

  • Help merchandise and refresh the retail floor to create an inviting shopping experience

  • Monitor studio supplies and assist with inventory organization

  • Support special events, promotions, community partnerships, and grassroots marketing efforts

  • Participate in studio and leadership meetings and trainings as needed

  • Assist with social media and local marketing initiatives when needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, fitness, or wellness

  • Confidence in having sales conversations and following up with prospective members

  • Experience leading, training, or supporting a team

  • Genuine interest in yoga, fitness, wellness, or boutique studio operations

  • Warm, professional, and comfortable connecting with a wide variety of people

  • Strong communication skills in person, by phone, through text, and via email

  • Organized, dependable, and able to balance multiple priorities

  • Comfortable taking initiative, identifying opportunities, and using good judgment

  • Able to remain calm, respectful, and solutions-focused in challenging situations

  • Comfortable learning studio software and working on both PC and Mac computers

  • Trustworthy and able to handle private or confidential information appropriately

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification

Schedule and Flexibility

This position is expected to work approximately 30 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible and will be developed in partnership with the Regional Manager based on studio needs and the employee’s availability. Two consecutive days off per week built into manager's schedules. 

Some early mornings, evenings, or weekends may occasionally be needed to support the team, attend events, connect with members, or be present during key studio hours.

Physical Requirements

The Studio Manager may be required to sit or stand for extended periods, reach, bend, kneel, use stairs, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. The role also requires the ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.

Compensation

  • Starting pay of $21 per hour

  • Quarterly Bonus Opportunity Based on Performance
