SCHEDULE: Shifts are avialable Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 12:00pm and evening from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Membership Manager, the Representative will be responsible for implementing all curriculum and program activities in the area of Adventure Zone. In addition, the Representative will help deliver world-class customer service and relationship building skills to create a welcoming environment at the YMCA. The incumbent will also exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of their work with the YMCA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide careful and attentive supervision for all participants in program
Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios as per rules of YMCA of Metropolitan Denver
Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Adventure Zone, meeting all YMCA policies
Provide positive continual interaction with all children in the program
Maintain open and positive communication with parents, members, and staff
Facilitate program that invites exploration, promotes positive play and welcomes children
Implement classroom curriculum, activities, experiences and routines under the guidance of the Membership Manager
Promotes team concept through a positive approach to supervision, communication, and interactions with others; maintains ongoing communication with supervisor
Proactively clean up and/or repair areas used by the program
Attend and remain current on all mandatory training and staff meetings
Be knowledgeable and supportive of the YMCA annual support campaign, and general procedures and policies, including personnel guidelines, facility access procedures, membership policies, and emergency plans
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger to handle or feel objects, tools, controls, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear and taste and smell
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities are required including accurate sight up close, distant, peripheral and ability to focus
Noise level in the work environment is moderate but may be moderate to high

Qualifications & BenefitsQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 16 years old
Certified in First aid and CPR
Must possess oral, auditory and written communication skills appropriate for interacting with both children and adults
Prior experience working with young children e.g., babysitting, church Sunday school, etc. preferred
