Multi-Location Aviation MRO | Individual Contributor
We're looking for a hands-on, analytical self-starter to support financial analysis, cost management, and operational decision-making across our multi-location aviation MRO environment.
A key initial priority: developing and implementing job-level profitability and cost analysis — giving management greater visibility into labor, material, outside services, overhead, margins, and operational performance. You'll work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Purchasing, and ERP/system resources to improve the quality and usefulness of our financial and operational information.
You'll
Develop and maintain job-level profitability reporting across the organization
Develop labor costing, burden rate, and overhead allocation methodologies
Evaluate actual job costs against estimates, quotes, and budgets, and identify significant variances
Partner with Operations to identify the drivers behind unfavorable labor, material, and margin variances
Take financial improvement initiatives from concept through implementation — requirements, methodology, testing, documentation, and monitoring
Identify gaps in ERP data, processes, and controls, and recommend practical solutions
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for operational decisions
Present findings and recommendations to senior management
You bring
3+ years in financial analysis, cost accounting, or operational finance (5+ preferred)
Experience in a cost-accounting, job-costing, manufacturing, MRO, aerospace, or industrial environment
Demonstrated experience developing or improving job costing, product costing, or project/operational profitability processes
Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills; Power BI or SQL highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to design and implement new financial processes, not just maintain existing ones
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
Prior aviation experience is beneficial but not required — candidates with strong cost-accounting and implementation experience from manufacturing, aerospace, industrial services, or other job-cost environments are encouraged to apply.
This is an individual contributor role with significant exposure to senior management and operational leadership — ideal for an analytical builder who's comfortable entering an environment where some processes are still being developed and taking ownership of the solution.
