Hardware Team Leader – Data Center Switch Platforms

Location : Tel Aviv , Kiryat Gat , Haifa

Position Overview

We are looking for a Hardware Team Leader to lead the development of high-end Data centers Ethernet switch systems (51.2T / 102.4T and beyond).

The role includes full ownership of system architecture, high-speed board design, and execution, with focus on High speed board design  and high-current power delivery networks.

The position requires strong cross-functional leadership, working closely with SI/PI and Mechanical teams to ensure system-level performance, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

· Define system architecture for switch platforms, including ASIC integration

· Lead high-speed PCB design for 112G / 224G PAM4 Ethernet and PCIe Gen5/6.

· Define stackup, materials, routing constraints, and channel budgets.

· Own multi-phase VRM architecture for high-current ASIC power delivery (300A+).

· Work closely with SI/PI team to define channel budgets, routing rules, and simulation correlation.

· Collaborate tightly with Mechanical engineering on front panel, airflow, and thermal solutions.

· Lead bring-up and validation

· Drive execution from concept to mass production

· Lead and mentor HW team.

Requirements

· 10+ years of experience in hardware/system design.

· 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams.

· Strong experience with high-speed systems (Ethernet and PCIe).

· Proven experience in switch platforms.

· Deep understanding of system-level hardware design and integration.

· Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration across electrical, mechanical, and system teams.

Technical Expertise

· 25G/56G/112G / 224G PAM4 Ethernet systems.

· PCIe Gen4/5 (Gen6 advantage).

· High-layer-count PCB design.

· Multi-phase VRM design for high-current ASICs.

· Familiarity with SI/PI concepts and co-design methodologies.

Additional Experience (Advantage)

· Experience with Open Compute Project (OCP) switch platforms.

· Experience with 51T / 100T class systems.

· Experience with retimer-based architectures.

· Experience with liquid cooling solutions.

· Experience with high-power optics (20–40W modules).

· B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
