About the Role:
Wrightsville Dental in Wilmington, NC is looking for a passionate and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team! This is a fantastic opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a welcoming, professional environment where your expertise truly makes a difference.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures for patients
- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments including periodontal charting and screenings
- Take and review dental X-rays (radiographs) in accordance with practice protocols
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, home care, and preventive strategies
- Document accurate patient records and treatment notes in the practice management system
- Collaborate with the dentist and dental team to develop individualized patient treatment plans
- Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride or sealant treatments as needed
Requirements:
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of North Carolina
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with dental practice management software is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care
