Lead Preschool Teacher
About this role
Child’s Play Wonderschool LLC is seeking a dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to oversee daily classroom operations and support the development of young children in a nurturing, play-based learning environment. This role is responsible for leading classroom instruction, guiding assistant teachers, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate experience for all students.
Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
Lead daily classroom routines and learning experiences
Supervise and support assistant teachers and aides
Monitor children’s progress and developmental milestones
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding progress and needs
Ensure compliance with licensing and safety regulations
Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
Manage classroom behavior using appropriate guidance techniques
Support enrollment transitions and new student integration
Requirements
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in a preschool or childcare setting
Strong understanding of child development principles
Ability to lead a classroom and supervise staff
Excellent communication and organizational skills
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to meet state licensing requirements
