SUMMARY
The Planning and Production Control Supervisor is responsible for leading the Planning and Production Control team, with oversight of tactical planning and shop floor material execution activities for the Motorized business units.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Manage and report the performance of manufacturing operations regarding production and materials in terms of operational objectives and goals of the business units
- Develop, implement, and manage supply chain processes that effectively meet both the demand and financial commitment of the operations team
- Responsibility for maintaining the production schedule, shop floor planning & dispatching, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained (to include Raw, WIP, Finished Goods), and communicating throughout the organization as required to ensure sufficient capacities and levels are available to manufacture scheduled product
- Create and lead tactical manufacturing plans for responsible goods and services. Acts as an owner for all associated physical inventories and provides input to management regarding long term material issues that could impact production decisions
- Participate in the monitoring and maintenance of the performance of all reporting systems (ie: databases, Tier Boards, etc.) and proactively contributes in new process development by identifying system limitations and recommending alternative actions
TALENTS and/or EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years proven experience in related area of manufacturing operations or supply chain, with 3 years in a leadership position
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing operations, order scheduling and shop floor procedures, MRP systems and their processes, and supply chain best practices
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relations of cooperation and communication with staff at all levels
- Good MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and REGISTRATIONS
- BS or BA in Business Management, Operations, Materials, or Supply Chain desired. Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- APICS certification or ongoing education preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is normally performed in both a typical interior/office and production floor work environment. The candidate should be able to perform the job tasks with or without reasonable accommodations
