Authority

  • Officer of the Deck department
  • Responsible for maintenance of vessels deck spaces
  • Responsible for maintenance of shipboard life savings appliance
  • In charge of ballast water management and record keeping

Required qualifications and competences:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the capacity of Chief Officer in charge of maintenance
  • Valid class 1 Masters license and certificates according to STCW 95 as amended
  • Good knowledge about maritime rules and regulations (SOLAS, STCW, MARPOL, MLC)
  • Great leadership skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Fluent command in English
  • Great interpersonal skills and good team leading ability
  • Good references

Beneficial experiences:

  • Experience from cruise vessel
  • Experience from expedition cruise and vessels operating in Artic waters
  • Experience from new built and/or site team or project work
  • Experience in sailing under NIS flag
  • Fluent command in a Scandinavian language
