Officer of the Deck department
Responsible for maintenance of vessels deck spaces
Responsible for maintenance of shipboard life savings appliance
In charge of ballast water management and record keeping
Required qualifications and competences:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the capacity of Chief Officer in charge of maintenance
- Valid class 1 Masters license and certificates according to STCW 95 as amended
- Good knowledge about maritime rules and regulations (SOLAS, STCW, MARPOL, MLC)
- Great leadership skills
- Great communication skills
- Fluent command in English
- Great interpersonal skills and good team leading ability
- Good references
- As part of our hiring process, candidates will undergo standard pre-employment checks, including medical and drug/alcohol testing
Beneficial experiences:
- Experience from cruise vessel
- Experience from expedition cruise and vessels operating in Artic waters
- Experience from new built and/or site team or project work
- Experience in sailing under NIS flag
- Fluent command in a Scandinavian language
