Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Trainer / Sub-Lead to support employee training, daily warehouse operations, and front-line leadership. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for training and coaching new and existing employees, reinforcing safe and standardized work practices, and providing operational leadership and supervisor coverage as needed.

Trainer / Sub-Leads are expected to lead by example and actively participate in warehouse operations when needed. This includes operating material handling equipment, performing physical warehouse work, and maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and teamwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Train and coach new and existing employees on warehouse processes, equipment operation, safety requirements, and standard work procedures.

· Demonstrate and reinforce the safe operation of all required material handling equipment, including equipment that operates at elevated heights.

· Observe employees during training and daily operations to identify unsafe behaviors, knowledge gaps, or additional training needs.

· Provide coaching and retraining when employees do not demonstrate required safety, quality, productivity, or operational standards.

· Maintain accurate training, qualification, and certification records.

· Maintain a strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, RF processes, material movement, loading, unloading, and housekeeping.

· Reinforce company policies, procedures, safety expectations, and work instructions.

· Lead by example by consistently demonstrating safe work practices and immediately addressing or escalating unsafe conditions and behaviors.

· Communicate training needs, performance concerns, safety issues, and operational challenges to supervisors and management.

· Actively participate in warehouse operations and perform material handling duties as needed to support operational requirements.

· Support daily operational needs and provide leadership coverage for supervisors during absences or as needed.

· Maintain professional and effective working relationships with employees, leadership, and other departments.

· Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as needed.

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

· Strong attendance, dependability, and work performance record.

· Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling practices.

· Ability and willingness to become trained and qualified on all required material handling equipment, including equipment that operates at elevated heights.

· Ability to safely demonstrate equipment operation and coach others on proper operating procedures.

· Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and holding others accountable to established safety requirements.

· Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.

· Ability to professionally provide direction, reinforce expectations, and address performance or training concerns.

· Ability to consistently lift and handle product weighing up to 55 lbs.

· Ability to perform physical warehouse work throughout the scheduled shift.

· Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment around powered equipment and moving product.

· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Compensation & Earning Potential

This position receives a $1.00/hour Trainer / Sub-Lead premium above the applicable warehouse base rate.

The current warehouse base rate is $16.50/hour, making the starting rate for this position $17.50/hour before applicable shift differential.

Employees have additional opportunities to increase their hourly earnings through:

· First-Year Wage Progression: Opportunity to earn up to an additional $1.50/hour during the first year based on satisfactory attendance and performance.

· Annual Reviews: Employees are eligible for annual performance reviews with the opportunity for merit increases.

· Skill-Set Incentives: Employees may earn up to an additional $2.50/hour by becoming qualified in designated skill sets.

· Shift Differentials: Additional hourly pay is provided based on assigned shift.

Shift Differentials

· A1 – Weekday Days: No shift differential

· C1 – Weekday Nights: +$1.25/hour

· A2 – Weekend Days: +$3.00/hour

· C2 – Weekend Nights: +$4.25/hour

Based on the current $16.50 warehouse base rate and $1.00 Trainer / Sub-Lead premium, starting hourly rates are:

· A1 – Weekday Days: $17.50/hour

· C1 – Weekday Nights: $18.75/hour

· A2 – Weekend Days: $20.50/hour

· C2 – Weekend Nights: $21.75/hour

Additional wage progression, skill-set incentives, and future merit increases may further increase an employee's hourly rate.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on warehouse position. Employees must be able to perform physical work throughout the scheduled shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and consistently lifting and handling product weighing up to 55 lbs.

Employees must also be able and willing to safely operate all required material handling equipment after completing applicable training and qualification requirements, including equipment that operates at elevated heights.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Final candidates must successfully complete all applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check, drug screen, and physical.

Work Authorization

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout employment. Sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this position.
