Job DetailsJob Location: Independence, KS 67301Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: 1st ShiftJob Category: DOT - Safety Sensitive PositionSUMMARY: The Aviation Accessory Technician will perform maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Assemble limited fuel, oil, or air accessories per CMM.
Utilize hand tools and specialty tools for precision measurements daily.
Read and interpret technical data and drawings.
Generate data plates for components completed with use of a laser system.
Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed.
Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of relevant/technical work experience.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments and hand tools effectively.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
Mechanical aptitude.
Basic computer operating skills.
Flexible to changing workloads/priorities based on customer requirements.
Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of technical work experience in aviation maintenance, MRO, or accessory repair.
High mechanical aptitude.
OTHER:
