About the Role

A 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) Operations Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of logistics services outsourced to third-party providers. This includes overseeing warehouse operations, transportation, inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns processing while ensuring that service levels meet client expectations and contractual agreements. This person will play a critical role in managing 3PL relationships, particularly ecommerce fulfillment providers. The ideal candidate has Ecommerce/Amazon operations expertise, operational excellence, and a knack for communication and cross-functional collaboration.

The Position:

Fulfillment, Warehouse and Inventory Management:

  • Supervising intake, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory and efficient warehouse flow

  • Ensuring timely delivery of goods, optimizing routes, and managing carrier relationships

  • Ensure seamless onboarding and execution of new products

Systems & Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive operational efficiencies, continuous improvement initiatives, and cost-savings

  • Own and scale our D2C and Amazon 3P distribution strategy (FBM/FBA), including cost management and margin optimization with HQ, Operations, Digital Sales, Marketing and Finance

  • Own order and fulfillment data integrity within ERP (e.g., D365, NetSuite, SAP).

  • Manage order flows, and integrate ecommerce platforms with other systems like ERP, OMS, or WMS

Performance Monitoring:

  • Track KPIs such as throughput, order cycle time, picking accuracy, dock-to-stock time, and cost per order, and taking corrective actions when necessary

  • Monitor Digital Sales and Amazon-specific fees (e.g. FBA, storage, removal, labeling) and adjust operations proactively to minimize costs and protect margins

  • Monitoring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations

  • Develop and maintain 3PL/ Amazon operational reporting and dashboards to provide insights to leadership, finance and support data-driven decisions

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as the operational bridge between 3PL, Sales, Supply Planning, Marketing & Finance

  • Align on order priorities, service levels, and customer commitments.

  • Support Sales & Operations processes by providing insights on order trends, service performance, and risks.

  • Partner with Finance on invoicing accuracy, accruals, deductions, and dispute resolution.

  • Serve as the primary Operations point of contact for 3PL/Amazon fulfillment and compliance; ensure all inventory, packaging, labeling, and data requirements are met to avoid chargebacks, suppression, or delays

  • Coordinate kitting and repack projects at the warehouse — managing scheduling, labor planning, and quality oversight for special packaging and promotional fulfillment requirements

  • Partners with Inventory Control on physical inventory accuracy, cycle count coordination, and any discrepancies

Billing and Contract Management:

  • Ensuring that operational activities are accurately captured for invoicing and that services are billed according to contract terms.

  • Support contract reviews, capacity planning for peak periods, and any warehouse-related escalations

What you will need to succeed:
Required:
  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain coordination

  • Direct experience in ecommerce and Amazon 3P FBM/FBA fulfillment operations

  • Knowledge of ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, etc.) and integrations

  • Knowledge of Amazon compliance standards and operational best practices

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, receiving processes, and inventory management

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong analytical mindset; Excel and data tools are second nature to you.

  • Experience with ERP/order management systems

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with ambiguity.

  • Results-driven with strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset

Preferred:

  • Experience coordinating kitting and repack operations

  • Demonstrated comfort with AI-powered tools and automation platform

  • Power BI, Tableau or other workflow automation and decision support systems

  • Understanding of supply chain technology

  • A sense of humor and humility—you bring levity to challenges and build strong, positive relationships

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Experience

  • Experience in CPG, food & beverage, or consumer goods.

  • Experience supporting a $300M–$1B revenue organization.

Salary Range:
The base salary range for this position is $90,000–$100,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
