This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how technology supports the business—from selecting and optimizing platforms to improving processes, driving automation, managing vendors and licensing, and advancing digital transformation.

Reporting to the VP of Information Technology, you’ll serve as a key partner to IT, Executive Leadership, Security, Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders. You’ll balance strategic vision with operational execution, ensuring our application ecosystem delivers measurable business value while remaining secure, resilient, cost-effective, and aligned with evolving business priorities.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Own the strategy, technology roadmap, lifecycle, governance, and operating performance of the organization’s business application portfolio.
  • Lead application selection, implementation, enhancement, integration, consolidation, and retirement decisions to ensure the right technologies are supporting the right business needs.
  • Manage software spend, licensing, contracts, renewals, hosting, vendor relationships, and support costs to improve cost efficiency across customers and offerings.
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor management practices, holding technology partners accountable for performance, service levels, cost, and business outcomes.
  • Ensure critical business platforms meet established expectations for availability, security, support, resilience, and recovery.
  • Lead the business applications project portfolio, ensuring priorities, scope, schedules, budgets, adoption, and expected business value are clearly defined and effectively managed.
  • Partner with business leaders, IT, Security, Finance, and Operations to identify opportunities to improve business processes through automation, integration, and effective use of technology.
  • Evaluate opportunities to consolidate platforms, eliminate unnecessary applications, optimize licensing, and simplify the overall application environment.
  • Provide strategic direction for application integrations and the connectivity of systems across the organization.
  • Lead, develop, and empower the Business Applications team, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations related to application costs, platform availability, project performance, risks, vendor performance, and significant technology decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement across application processes, governance, documentation, support models, and technology utilization.
  • Travel occasionally to operational or remote sites as needed.
Required Skills / Experience
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise applications, business systems, IT operations, technology portfolio management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams, vendors, budgets, and complex cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing SaaS and enterprise application portfolios, including licensing, contracts, vendor relationships, lifecycle management, and technology optimization.
  • Strong understanding of application security, integrations, platform availability, support, and operational resilience.
  • Proven ability to evaluate technology solutions and translate business requirements into effective, scalable application strategies.
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience managing technology spend, budgets, licensing, and vendor costs.
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence leaders across IT and the broader business.
  • Strong project and portfolio management capabilities, including the ability to balance competing priorities, resources, budgets, timelines, adoption, and expected business value.
  • Experience leading teams and developing high-performing technology professionals.
