About this role
I. POSITION
PURPOSE:
- To safeguard the visual and tactile
quality of interior and exterior parts by controlling all design-related
quality attributes from concept through production.
- Ensure strict alignment with CMF
definitions and uphold the brand's standards for perceived quality and harmony
across all components.

III. RESPONSIBILITIES
AREA
1. CMF Compliance Oversight:
1. CMF Compliance Oversight:
- Monitor and control deviations from supplier deliverables against
CMF definitions and standards.
2. Pre-Texturing & Surface Development:
- Lead pre-texturing evaluations and support texture feasibility
with suppliers.
- Manage T0 Part Grain Marking and tool validation for surface
definition.
3. Documentation &
Tools:
- Prepare and manage the Boundary Book to define visual/perceived
quality references.
- Conduct TGSS (Grain Mapping Approval) and OKTG (Ok to Grain)
reviews.
4. Part Validation &
Approval:
- Perform part trials post-texturing and assess surface accuracy,
haptics, gloss, and shape compliance.
- Review parts in context with full interior to ensure visual
harmony and integration.
5. Perceived Quality
Check:
- Evaluate key perceived quality criteria including shape, color
matching, aspect, gloss levels, and tactile feedback.
- Lead and document AAR (Appearance Approval Report) assessments,
including final approval.
6. Vehicle-Level
Validation:
- Conduct
Vehicle Harmony Validation to ensure all interior parts align in quality and
appearance within the full vehicle environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design,
Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive design
quality, surface development, or CMF engineering.
- Hands-on experience with supplier
collaboration, tooling validation, and texture approvals.
- Strong understanding of texture tooling, grain
development, and perceived quality evaluation.
- Familiar with AAR, OKTG, TGSS, and Boundary
Book processes.
- Detail-oriented, with strong documentation and
coordination skills.
- Able to evaluate aesthetics and technical
feasibility in a cross-functional context.
