The Deputy Chief Engineer is responsible for leading the end-to-end integration of ADAS Level 4 (L4) autonomous driving systems into vehicle platforms and supporting the Chief Engineer in delivering Vehicle programs from concept through production deployment.
The role serves as the technical and program execution leader for vehicle-level integration activities, ensuring that autonomous driving hardware, software, vehicle actuators, E/E architecture, safety systems, and operational requirements are integrated and validated according to program milestones, regulatory requirements, and commercial deployment objectives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Vehicle-Level ADAS L4 Integration
Own end-to-end integration of L4 autonomous driving systems into vehicle platforms.
Ensure compatibility between ADS software, sensors, computing platforms, vehicle motion control systems, and EE architecture.
Coordinate integration of LiDAR, radar, camera, ultrasonic, localization, telematics, and computing systems.
Drive resolution of vehicle-level integration issues and performance gaps.
2. Vehicle Technical Leadership
Act as the primary technical focal point for ADAS L4 vehicle integration.
Lead technical reviews and architecture assessments.
Ensure design decisions support fail-operational and fail-safe vehicle behavior.
Support critical engineering decisions and escalation management.
3. Cross-Functional Coordination for ADAS L4 integration
Drive collaboration across Vehicle Engineering, Software, ADAS, EE, Chassis, Manufacturing, Quality, and Validation teams.
Align technical requirements, interfaces, and development priorities.
Facilitate issue resolution among internal teams and suppliers.
4. Safety and Compliance Leadership
Ensure compliance with Functional Safety and ADS-related regulations.
Support safety case development and homologation activities.
Drive implementation of fault management, fallback strategies, minimal risk maneuver (MRM), and operational design domain (ODD) requirements.
Monitor regulatory readiness for vehicle deployment.
5. Validation & Launch Readiness for ADAS L4 tuning activities
Lead vehicle integration verification and validation activities.
Support prototype builds, integration testing, fleet trials, and operational readiness assessments.
Track issue closure and risk mitigation through development gates.
