About this role
The ADAS Bug Manager owns the end-to-end defect management process across the ADAS software and system development lifecycle, from requirements implementation through vehicle program release.
The role acts as the central authority for software quality visibility, defect governance, supplier issue management, and release readiness.
The position requires deep understanding of L2+ ADAS systems, with L3/L4 autonomous driving or Robotaxi experience highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end ADAS defect management process across software, system integration, HIL, SIL, vehicle validation, and field testing.
Lead bug reviewes, quality reviews, root cause analysis, and defect prioritization to ensure timely issue resolution and consistent closure criteria.
Manage defect resolution with Tier-1 and all Tier-x suppliers, including escalation of critical issues and tracking supplier performance.
Drive release readiness assessments for major software milestones by evaluating open defects, quality risks, software maturity, and release blockers for MML team.
Develop and maintain Jira dashboards, KPIs, executive reports, and quality metrics to provide clear visibility into program health and defect trends.
Monitor and report key indicators such as defect aging, closure rate, escaped defects, reopen rate, supplier responsiveness, and release readiness.
Ensure requirements traceability and impact analysis in Codebeamer, linking defects to requirements, verification results, and corrective actions.
Act as the central quality focal point across Vinfast ADAS engineering, validation, program management, and supplier teams to support successful ADAS software releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics or Automotive Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of automotive development experience.
- Minimum 5 years in software quality, defect management or release management.
- Expertise in L2+ ADAS features and vehicle architectures. Preferred: L3/L4 Autonomous Driving or Robotaxi experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English and Chinese (as a plus).
- Knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), ASPICE, ISO 21434 and UNECE R155/R156.
