JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Generalist will work closely with all store personnel. They will assist in distributing, preparing, shipping, receiving, stocking and making deliveries. Will ensure materials are sorted and stored in the warehouse or stocked on shelves as needed. Will account for all merchandise delivered to customers and get proof of acceptance of these products.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive documents from carrier and verify amounts. Record amounts of materials received in POS computer system
Keep shelves stocked with merchandise for customer purchase
Promptly delivers product to customers using a box truck or other vehicle
Verifies items to be delivered and obtains proof of delivery from customers
Prepares, packages and ships orders
Ensures work area is clean and organized.
Records details of delivers by accurately maintaining the delivery log
Ensures vehicle is serviced as required
Assists with annual inventories
Assists in resolving problems concerning warehousing, shipping, receiving and issuing
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory controls and inventory records
Other duties as assigned

QualificationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required

One year of warehousing experience

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Knowledge of basic math

Ability to speak and write English

Ability to operate forklift, pallet jacks, and dollies

Valid Driver’s License

Clean Driving Record

Certification of Forklift operations (Reach Truck and 3-Wheel Forklift) is required of all warehouse personnel, within 90 days.

Ability to operate a computer and software, including UPS and Federal Express

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to sit, stand, stoop and bend for prolonged periods of time

Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more

Must be able to conduct repetitive motions on a daily basis
