LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
Gain real-world experience in asset management by working with systems of record, applying asset tracking and inventory management strategies, reconciling data across multiple platforms, and developing professional communication skills through interaction with internal clients and stakeholders.
JOB SUMMARY:
This internship will support asset management operations at Vibrant Works, focused on reconciling and maintaining accurate records across two systems: the fixed assets system of record and the general asset management system. The intern will help ensure that assets are properly tagged, that records across the two systems are reconciled, and will assist in performing a physical inventory to verify system data against assets on hand.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reconcile asset records between the fixed assets system of record and the general asset management system.
Physically tag assets according to established labeling and naming conventions.
Perform a physical inventory of assets and verify counts and locations against system records.
Identify and document discrepancies, such as missing, duplicate, or mismatched asset records.
Update asset records to reflect accurate status, location, and ownership information.

QualificationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, or a related field.
Sophomore standing or above; recent graduates also encouraged to apply
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Comfortable working with spreadsheets and/or database records.
Ability to work independently and follow a structured, checklist-driven process.
Basic understanding of asset or inventory management concepts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods (sitting or standing)
Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer
Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10–25 lbs
Occasional bending, reaching, kneeling, or crouching to access files, supplies, or equipment stored at various heights
