Position Summary: Responsibilities are obtaining hospice and specialist insurance verifications through a clearinghouse, insurance portal, and/or phone call, completing hospice benefit verification form for commercial payors, set-up of Reimbursors on patients’ account, process subsidy assistance applications, and assist with obtaining authorizations, as needed.

Essential Duties

Insurance Verification and Authorizations

Verification of Medicare, Medicaid, & Commercial Payors eligibility and/or benefits through a clearinghouse, insurance portal, and/or phone call

Complete Hospice Benefit Verification Form for commercial payors

Reimbursor set-up on patients’ account

Process Subsidy Assistance Applications

Assist with obtaining hospice and palliative authorizations as needed

Other duties as required

Qualifications
Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience.
Minimum of 3 years working experience in insurance verification and obtaining authorization in a medical practice.
Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial payers, Workers’ Compensation and Medicare Replacement plans.
Experience with NCTracks preferred, not required.
Experience with eCW software preferred, not required.
